COSI

Today we met my lifelong friend, Emily, and her daughter, Katy, at COSI (Center of Science and Industry) near their house. It was the first time our kids had been there and they had a blast. There was so much to see and do and we really could have spent several more hours there if schedules had allowed. An added bonus was that Nathan and the kids got in for a total of $13.50 with our Boonshoft Children's Museum membership and I got in for free with my teaching certificate. Now that we know we can get in for so cheap, we plan to make the 1 1/2 drive more often.

Chromosomes represented by pairs of socks:
We had to get a picture of this since God blessed Emmy with three 21 "socks"

Ellie loved this rocket ride!
She was told that we were going to go see the next section of the museum when the ride was finished. Several minutes later, the 10-cent ride was still going. Finally, we saw it stop. Then she reached into her pocket, pulled out a coin, and off she went again! Apparently, she had a secret stash of coins in her pocket and had been using them to continue her ride. She would have ridden forever if we hadn't stopped her!

Jacob loves "The Yellow Submarine" song by The Beatles.
Here he is in one.

Look how strong Jacob and Mimi are!
