Every year, our dentist offers a candy buy-back program after Halloween. He pays the kids $1/pound of candy and then donates everything to the troops overseas. The kids love going and we love that they get rid of some of the candy (notice I didn't say ALL!)!

Jacob wanted a light-saber to match his costume
They each got $2 for the candy they donated
