Gabrielle went for her 4-year well check-up today. She's usually pretty uncooperative with the doctor, so I attempted to bribe her with a stop for ice cream afterwards if she did well. She was weighed and measured with no problems, but then her stubborness came out. She wouldn't name the pictures on the eye chart, wouldn't talk to her doctor, and refused the bend over so Dr. Rita could check her spine (it took both of us holding her to accomplish it). After all was said and done, we headed back to Nathan's grandparents' to pick-up Jacob and Emmaline. As we were driving there, Ellie asked, "Can we stop for ice cream now?" I'm sure you can figure out what my answer was!
4-year stats:
Height: 41 1/4" (90%)
Weight: 33 3/4 lbs. (50%)

Ellie... my birthday buddy! You are a tall girl and SUPER cute, too! Is Dr. Rita, Rita Heritage? If so, her husband is one of the Neonatologists I work with in the NICU. They are great doctors!!
Ellie is a doll!! Maybe ice cream for her next trip...
Noah seems like such a giant after reading her stat! Her stubborness sounds familiar. I wonder if it is a 2nd child characteristic?
Michele: Yes, it is Dr. Rita Heritage. She gave us Emmaline's diagnosis and we switched to her when our other ped. retired. She is so great and had her husband check in on us several time when Emmy was in the NICU. We are really grateful for her!
Well, at least you know that ice cream isn't an effective bribe, Mom. :-) At least she's healthy and growing.
