We met some of our friends from home group at
Caesar Creek today. It felt strange to be wearing a sweatshirt in the middle of August, but it was definitely necessary this morning. The day was gorgeous and warmed up nicely as we did some exploring. First, we went to the Visitor Center to look at fossils and fish. Then we played for a bit and ate lunch before heading to the spillway to collect our very own fossils. Our friends left after this (nap time!), but we decided to enjoy the weather a bit longer. We saw some neat buildings at the
Pioneer Village, stopped for milkshakes, and then took Jacob to see where his Great-grandpa Jacob (whom he is named after) is buried. He thought it was neat to see his name spelled out on a gravestone at the cemetery (or "dead-zone" as he likes to call them). I am so exhausted, but the day was really fun!

What fun we had today and the weather was absolutely gorgeous also. I could have spent all day just looking at the sky and clouds. Thanks for not including the picture Jacob took of me!
