Happy United States Day!

This afternoon, Mom, Katie, and I went to see "Get Smart". It was the second time for Katie and I, but we liked it so much that we didn't mind seeing it again. Steve Carrell cracks me up and we laughed through the entire movie for the most part.

In the evening, we had a cook-out with our families to celebrate July 4th (or United States Day, according to Jacob) and Granddaddy's 89th birthday.

Nathan manned the grill (we lost an oven mitt due to those flames!)

Emmaline enjoyed her yummy dinner

The first trifle ever served in my trifle bowl
(I've had this bowl for over a year and have served pasta salad, chips, etc. in it, but today was the first time it was ever used for its original purpose.)

Yummy sugar cookies!

Those flames looked dangerous - there's something about "extreme grilling" and men that go together isnt there? Your trifle looked FABULOUS. My mouth is watering just looking at it - Happy 4th!

Rare mommy sighting! Sad how little the moms get in front of the camera.
