Happy 6th Birthday, Jacob!

Jacob turned 6 today. It's hard to believe how fast he is growing up. We started the day with presents and homemade waffles for breakfast. For lunch, we went to Chuck E. Cheese with the grandparents (that will be a separate post). When we got home, the kids relaxed and watched a movie in Jacob's new camp set. At dinner, Jacob picked our menu: spaghetti, garlic bread, veggies, and raspberry slush for birthday dessert. Now, he is sleeping peacefully in his room resting up for his birthday party tomorrow. It is hard to put into words how much we love our Jakey-boy. Life would be so boring without him and we are so thankful that God chose to bless us with him 6 years ago.

Jacob shows off his new khukri (a.k.a., a knife)
Don't worry...He's only allowed to have it with proper adult supervision.

Emmaline loved Jacob's "Star Wars" card that played music. She would dance to the music, then close the card and open it again to start the song over. We know what to get her for her next birthday!

Jacob's new camp set
It even came with inflatable logs and a "real" fire (actually a fan and flame that lights up...it's pretty neat!).

Jacob and his birthday slush
Do you know how hard it is to get candles to stand up in slush?!
