Jacob's 5th Birthday Party

We had Jacob's birthday party today. It was a nice, mostly family affair and everyone had a great time. Jacob insisted on a black Spiderman party, so I did my best to oblige. Mom and I collaborated on the cake, which Jacob loved. He made out with tons of toys and crafts that will hopefully keep us busy since the weather in finally turning colder (can you believe we are supposed to get snow flurries tomorrow night?). He was a little confused that he had his party before his actual birthday (he is officially 5 on 11/7), but I think he is enjoying these last days as a 4-year old.

Jacob and his cakes
We did cupcakes with red webs and blue spider rings or red mask rings in the middle.
The cake was made to look like a building complete with chocolate windows. We used Jacob's black Spiderman on the front of the cake and put Sandman on the top. I think it turned out really well.
